Vaccinations
Routinely we offer vaccination for equine influenza and tetanus. Recent outbreaks of influenza have highlighted the continued presence of this disease. Like human influenza the virus strains change over time and only the “Proteq” vaccinations contain the updated Clade 2 strains as recommended by world organisation for animal health (OIE).
We feel that we should offer the most up to date vaccine possible. Don’t worry, much like human vaccination if your horse has previously been vaccinated with a different vaccine – a booster with the updated strains with provide up to date immunity.
